Riding This part of the island , situated within a vast network of rural roads and paths, is particularly favourable for horseback riding. From here, it is possible to ride up the slopes and hills of the Sete Cidades crater, continue on through the ridges, and finally , on down to the lake. |

horses range from easy riders for the less experienced riders, to Lusitano pure-breds for the more discerning horseman.
